I’ve had this recipe since I was knee-high to a duck and it always reminds me of family, and home.
1 – 1 1/2 tsp Sweet Breakfast
1/2 tsp Sugar
3/4 tsp Vanilla
1/4 C Milk per Egg.
Bread: about 2 slices per egg
Butter/Oil for pan
Mix all ingredients but the Bread in a shallow bowl
Heat griddle/ frying pan with butter or oil to coat. Turn heat down to Medium – Medium High.
Dip one piece of bread in the bowl at a time, flipping to get well saturated with the egg mixture.
Transfer to hot pan and repeat until pan is full.
Flip each piece as they get golden – medium brown on the bottom, until desired dryness in the center.
Serve with Butter, Syrup, Preserves, Honey, or any other toppings you love.
