Check it out! You can add chicken stock to this easy condensed cream of mushroom soup to make it a delightful cream soup, or leave it as is to use instead of something from the can.
Scratch Green Bean Casserole
A holiday favorite that your family already loves!
The recipe starts with a scratch condensed soup recipe, and finishes off with the rest of this yummy dish.
Thaw, or for fresh, blanch Green Beans. (Boil in hot water for 5 minutes, and then soak in Ice Water to stop cooking process)
Melt Butter to a large skillet and add Mushrooms and Garlic, Sautee until soft. (about 5 minutes)
Add Heavy cream, and bring to ta boil over medium heat. Boil until thickened, stirring constantly.
Once thickened, add Parmesan cheese and spices
Add Green Beans and Half of the French Fried Onions. Stir until coated.
Transfer to a Casserole Dish, Spread the cheese, and remaining French Fried Onions on top, evenly.
Bake at 350 for 15 Minutes, or until desired color on top
